Any cold blooded animal, for that matter any natural born wild animal cannot be truly tamed.
I was a kid and the family that owned the pet store regularly brought out a anaconda/boa constrictor (or something) that was absolutely enormous. The old man always claimed he was tamed and did little mild tricks, where he kissed it etc etc. I was there (prob. 7-10y/o) and the snake got him across the face hard in his teeth and tried to crush him. They determined it was hungry and irratable. I guarantee that for however friendly that man claims that croc is with him, he makes sure its well fed before each show.
