Re: Chernobyl and Pripyat (1986 Nuclear Accident)
On a related note, most atmospheric game I ever played: STALKER: Shadows of Chernobyl on PC. Being able to explore Pripyat and the surrounding areas was creepy, gloomy, and it was genuinely emotion-evoking. (This was somewhat interrupted by the gunfighting, but once I had cleared an area, just wandering around it and looking at it was haunting.)

Re: Chernobyl and Pripyat (1986 Nuclear Accident)
i was hoping this topic came up. i have a friend who is a nuclear engineer, and he sent me this link to a damned great documentary. http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...ernobyl&hl=en# its a long vid at 1.5 hours but describes in great detail on what exactly happened, how they contained the fire and how they built the sarcophagus. |
