There are proctored bus tours available. The bulk of photos you see on the web were taken during these. Folks do like to juice up their stories, though. Remember "kid of speed" or whatever she called herself on her web page? She claimed to have pictures taken while on high speed solo motorcycle trips through Pripyat and surrounding area. Heck of a story. Too bad none of it was true. Her pictures were from the bus tour, too. It's worth taking the tour if you get the chance, but don't go expecting anything from a movie or a video game. Also be aware that trees and vegetation have reclaimed a lot. There are still people working at the reactor site and some locals still live in the area. |

Me too. The Chernobyl we see in the movie has little similarity to the real thing. But then again, what director would enter Pripyat to shot a movie |
