I would imagine to stop it becoming a place of pilgramage. IIRC the dug up Hess burned his body and destroyed the grave due to nazi holding a memorial there every year

There's a documentary called "High Hitler" that talks about all the crack medicine Morell had him on...one of the meds was made of the shit of a Bulgarian peasant, I do NOT lie. And historians wonder if Morell didn't actually hasten both Germany's defeat and Hitler's death.
