Induced coma, rapid naloxone detox and stabilization of the patient for a period of 48 hours, is one possible treatment. It isn't widely used though, nor does it have a great success rate.
However, there is some speculation that maintaining a patient in a coma for a longer period (2 weeks+ ) may yield better results. new here, this is kinda how i kicked heroin, but it was 24hr rapid detox. it worked for me but i had to do a little time shortly after for something previous.

Without sounding cold I don't have much sympathy for people who develop habits.
I can sympathise if it was through prescription drugs as that's an easy thing to do, but getting hooked out of sheer stupidity holds no sway with me.

Yeah this hits home for me too. I have a cousin who is "battling" heroin as well. Im suprised he is still alive as bad as that sounds
