Re: April 25–28, 2011 tornado outbreak. Southern and Eastern United States
i live in nc, luckily i was not injured, nor was my home or family. i was so close to it tho. not even 10 minutes from my house, everything in sight was destroyed. this was such a terrifying time for the community and all other states involved, just the night before my friend who resides in CO, asked me "do you guys get tornadoes over there?" and my answer "no lol ive never worried about a tornado, we just dont get them here." and the very next day....... this. we are recovering, but its taking a little time.

Re: April 25–28, 2011 tornado outbreak. Southern and Eastern United States
I live between the one that hit Cordova/Argo and the one that hit Fultondale/bham. Anyone near any of these tornadoes knows how close we ALL could have gotten to getting killed. Anywhere I drive now I see devastation...homes...schools...places we once thought were safe were ripped apart like legos and construction paper. There are people finding dead people...babies...in trees. No identities..miles and miles away from the destruction. I hope no one has to face this kind of devastation. I knew from the very beginning we were fucked when the weathermen had no idea what was going on. It didn't matter if you were in a complete concrete structure, if you were in the path, if you were not underground, you were gone. As I write this the death toll in Alabama alone is 250...and that is just the bodies they have found. I know there are some people on here that will crack jokes about Alabama, maybe thinking we are dumb poor rednecks with IQ's barely reaching 70. But this is not true, nor is this a joking matter. If any of you are able, please donate anything you can. The people who no longer have any homes...and the people who no longer have their loved ones..deserve help. |

Mother nature can sure be a bitch sometimes. My heart goes out to all of those who have had their lives devistated by the tornado's.
