Re: Amazing Shipwreck Pictures

So arousing, just like another old abandoned place. We have a few barges that have been sitting in the same spot along the river for over 15 years. Went out to them like year before last to take pictures, look for scrap metal (not from the ships, just trash people leave when they fish). Just happened to come across them and realized they were probably the same barges we used to jump from when I was about 16. Dangerous as fuck now that I look back on it but we had a lot of fun.

Reliving my past, I went across a beam used to get to it to fish off. There were a few cans out on it I kind of wanted to get but I got out not more than 9 feet and freaked the fuck out. People had obviously had been out on it but all I could imaging was falling through the rusty deck and into a dark pit of river water. My friend had to come get me

Re: Amazing Shipwreck Pictures

This is the coolest spot. Loved the wreck. Would sooo love to camp out there for a week. Eat... sun... drink.
I build ships. Been in all parts of a ship and welded from stem to stern, from keel to deck. Love seeing a ship come to life. Love to repair and bring her back to ship shape. My last best ship was the BonneHomme Richard. She left San Diego over a week ago.
Kinda nostalgic to see a dead hulk rotting on a beach. Totally beyond repair or salvage. That first one looks salvagable.
This last picture is just beautiful. My son wants to go to welding school and work on oil and gas pipelines. Seems to me that working on ships would be better and he'd be near the water and not on the road for months at a time.

Me too, it would be creepy-yet-astounding I imagine.
