Abandoned Trains
Once masters of moving now eerily still and being reclaimed by nature here are some pictures of abandoned locos, stock, and rails of various locations in the Americas and Europe.

Re: Abandoned Trains
How fascinating! Especially the abandoned railway tracks feed my imagination: where have those tracks lead before? The 'End of Track' sign nails it beautifully |

Re: Abandoned Trains
Reminds me of the Thomas The Tank Engine episode where Henry was bricked up in the tunnel. In fact, I've discovered a damaged train in the series, called Hiro, hid in the woods for fear of being smelted. And I'm not surprised, as in the books, you can see the engines' look of terror as a welder takes their faces off. Thomas' predecessor as Number One engine ends up rusted and covered in foliage too. For a kids' series, this somehow belongs on DR, I think!! · |
