The world is a really crazy place when you think about it. When you take into account all the history, science and weird human behavior, there's a lot of amazing stuff out there. Inspired by a thread on Reddit, we've collected 27 interesting facts that show just how strange life on Earth (and beyond) can be. Some are funny, some are mind-blowing and at least one will make you question your faith in humanity. Seriously, think about what we could have accomplished in the time we've spent watching "Gangnam Style." We could have learned even more interesting facts about the universe in which we live. But we suppose silly Korean pop is important, too.

Speaking of eating a polar bear's liver, same is true for dog livers; I remember reading about an expedition (I can't be sure which pole and maybe it was Admiral Perry or Cook) but they were forced to eat their sled dogs and survived the expedition but later died from the excess vitamin A-it's an awful way to die.

The woolly mammoth was around when the pyramids were being built.

There's a sickness called Rabbit Starvation. You can't survive on rabbit meat at all.
