I usually agree with most of your comments but disagree here. They already knew the guy was not armed (patdown), so it was basically a strong bull of a guy got loose and ran. The taser is not a lethal weapon, and shooting the runner in the back 2x is just plain murder. He was not threatening death on anyone.

If a Georgia officer has probable cause to believe the suspect inflicted or threatened to inflict serious bodily harm they can use deadly force to apprehend them regardless if they are currently armed or using violence against you. In some states any felon who tries to flee can be shot in the back but usually this only applies to sworn law enforcement not private citizens. Also departments don't necessarily allow everything the state code does but any department who would fire this officer are idiots being controlled by the terrorist mobs roaming the streets.

Cops too trigger happy. Yes, the guy shouldn't have resisted arrest or got into a scuffle, or grabbed a taser and pointed it. But it's not like that was a threat to life. He was a bit drunk and didn't need to die for it.
What's the worst that could have happened ? He tases 1 cop ? There's another one right there. It's not like he would have got away.

How about instead of trying to fucking arrest the guy after telling him he's drank too much, just park his car for him and tell him to go home (or even offer to give him a lift home). Job done and no-one has to die.
No reason to arrest him. Reported yes, but not arrested. Park his car, take his keys which he can pick up next day from the police station.
Cops in US can't even handle unarmed people without killing them. BTW, a taser is hardly a deadly weapon.

To even say that if you resist arrest you should expect to be killed is just sad, pathetic and a huge part of the problem in the US.

Seriously you want the police to just let fools go home with a "report" after driving drunk and violating felony parole? Never lose a friend to a drunk driver yet?
