so hard to see what actually happened, but if that perp stole the taser and turned around to point it at the officers just before he was shot, this is not much more than a tragic yet textbook kill. Don't resist arrest if you want to live!

can't believe the police chief would just up and quit over this and call for the officer doing his job to be fired. either this is really bad, a lot more worse than it seems, or she is a weak leader and its probably a good thing she is quitting.

I have no idea if this will be found justified, but what the Mayor did is trash. She judged the officers before any investigation was conducted at all.

It isn't super clear in the article but the Mayor is the one calling for the termination of the officer (not the former police chief).

That guy is a rioting asshole. He was unarmed and did nothing bla bla. He only says that because the suspect is black while he clearly saw the guy is resisting and fighting with the cops. In the cctv you can see he turns himself around and fires the taser at one of the cops. What if he hit that cop in the eye blinding him for life.
And now they burned down that place. I hope those get caught as well and sentenced.

In this case, I fully agree. This guy (the guy recording the last video) could have actually helped, and possibly saved the suspects life. By talking him down or asking the officers if they needed help in the detention. Police officers are just people, from your city. Next time you see them struggling ask them if they need help. You may save a life.
