It might as well be. And it should be. And a little history lesson. EVERY NATION ON EARTH besides nations in Africa were founded by immigrants. Even "Native Americans" immigrated to America during the ice age. Simple minded people seem to believe history begins when America was founded. So America has an entirely different set of rules to live by. More than half of the states have adopted English as the official language of their state. Which isn't racist. And every piece of founding documents to the laws and legislation we have had throughout, is written in English. It goes without saying ( except when dealing sandy vaginal warts) that English is most certainly the national language. It would be extremely stupid for America to recognize all languages as part of American life. Are all road signs to be in 20 languages? Are we to send our children to school where all the classes are taught in different languages? Should cities hire cops to patrol the street who only speak Arabic? I guess if he tells you to get out of the car, and you don't understand.  Guess you deserve to get yanked from the car and slammed on your face. I mean, we're a nation of immigrants.  It's not up to him to learn your language, it's your job to learn his, and the 350 other languages spoken in America. Or, would it be better that all immigrants learn English? So we can all communicate and understand eachother. Which would make for a better life for immigrants, and a better country since we'll on be on the same page. |

Its weird how you people don't get basic common sense. You like to say shit like "this country was founded by immigrants". When that's not really true. Most of the people we call our founders, were born here. George Washington, Ben Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Jay and many many more were born in America. You could say our European ancestors immigrated to this continent. But for the most part, it was people who never lived anywhere but here, who founded this country, they were not immigrants. And if what you seem to think is what America is all about, then why is English the language that every city , county, and state uses as the primary and mostly only language in all official capacities? You're right, people can speak whatever language they want. Because this is a free country, not because we are a nation of immigrants. |

Technically military guns would not be a check. He was using a semi auto rifle. "Military Guns" or the actual definition of an assault rifle would be one with select fire functionality. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assault_rifle Not sure any civilian returned fire. At that point in relation to the event itself - was anyone carrying becomes irrelevant. (It should however be a lesson to anyone with a CCW. Always carry.). I would rather go down fighting than running away. At any rate the event was tragic and a sad day. We Americans need to return to our roots and take responsibility for our own self defense. Gun control will not stop violence. It will however make the innocent more vulnerable. |
