It’s always a matter of numbers and statistics when you need to determine impact and problems. the number of gun murders (not total gun deaths as hysterics like to point, they include suicide...so someone choosing to end their own life) in America is FAR less than the number of medical errors causing death. And that’s just one example of murder by guns being outnumbered by something else, there are many more.

Fact: you are more likely to die at the hands of your doctor or hospital than you are from a gun-toting psychopath

I stopped reading your post after I read this first sentence. I dont let emotion control my opinion. I think very clearly about why civilians owning machine guns is a fucking stupid idea. If the 230+ shootings we have already had this year dont change your opinion, you are the problem.

Also I hope you have one niece, nephew, grandchild, or child that you can look in the face one day and tell them, "I think having the right to own guns is worth more than your life"

Drink alcohol? How about the 88,000 people killed EVERY year as a result of alcohol. Somewhere around 240 per day. Is your, or my, right to drink more important than their lives??

You keep bringing up false equivalencies. Comparing alcohol to something that is LITERALLY intended to inflict mass casualties is just stupid.

Doesn’t matter what they were originally conceived to be. Firearms are inanimate objects.....they don’t kill on their own. Hence why it isn’t a gun problem.

Now when they do we will have a real problem with guns. Until then...yes, my constitutional rights override all your complaining about guns.
