What does "well if Texas is so safe..." or "what people say..." have to do with DaBigNob's assumptions based of prior shootings? What was described was a very familiar cycle that occurs every time there is a mass shooting: people will blame Trump because it's easy, politicians will push for more gun control to further their careers, celebrities will voice their disapproval to pretense their moral values, etc. Mass shootings were a rarity 25 years ago while gun control was far less stringent. So what changed? Perhaps these mass murderers realized that the media would make them overnight celebrities. Too much attention is given to these assholes and not enough for the victims. Stop showing their faces. Stop printing their (bs) manifestos. Stop digging into their past and presenting it in the form of an idealized documentary. If these mass murderers were to throw their weapons down and, instead, decide to run down a crowd of people in their vehicle, should we then demand more car control  /sarcasm |
