HE killed my classmate (Georgian Hawkins) was so bad,,we were all going to meant up for a party and she never showed up--I was going to green river cc..and she Seattle state.sad  glad hes gone.

Not so much intelligent, just very very manipulative; he had that predators keen sense of being able to spot vulnerability in a person, and then hone in on it. Doesnt require a vast amount of intelligence to do that. If he was so intelligent, he would never have been caught would he?  Now I, on the other hand have never been to prison in my life muahuahua  |

One of the traits found in psychopaths is delusions of grandeur. They think they are superior to everyone, megalomania. Unfortunately they arent and its that cockiness and over-confidence which is usually their downfall. Prisons are full of people who thought they were "intelligent" enough to evade capture |

Ive done the PPI (Psychopathic Personality Inventory test) with a psychiatrist and scored VERY high on it. The actual number I scored is irrelevant, lets just say that 450 is considered high, and I scored a fair bit higher than that. Intelligence is a factor in it of course, but only one factor of many. Teds discomfiture was because of his megalomania and narcissism; he thought he could "beat the system". Representing himself in court also reveals how narcissistic he was. It shows how powerful manipulation can be that even the judge at his trial, after passing sentence, was disappointed that Ted was going to die for his crimes!! Heres the actual quote from the judge himself: Judge Edward Cowart to Bundy after sentencing him to the electric chair for the Chi Omega murders "Take care of yourself, young man. I say that to you sincerely; take care of yourself, please. It is an utter tragedy for this court to see such a total waste of humanity as I’ve experienced in this courtroom. You’re a bright young man. You would have made a good lawyer and I would have loved to have you practice in front of me, but you went another way, partner. Take care of yourself. I don’t feel any animosity toward you. I just want you to know that. Once again, take care of yourself".   That puts in a nutshell just how manipulative people like Bundy are, and how gullible some folk are  |

Interesting point there with the Judge. What do you think could happen if said (or Hypothetical) Judge is just being compassionate - using their empathy, to see what he is?

I think that the hypothetical Judge wouldnt have said anything at all, but because he had been "hijacked" psychologically by Bundy's manipulations he felt the need to almost apologise for having to hand down the sentence. Thats why I say that intelligence doesnt really figure into it; like anything, practice makes perfect, and Bundy had had years of practice to perfect his manipulative actions. And dont forget, dead men (or women) tell no tales By that, Im talking about his victims. I can actually imagine Bundy probably boasting about what the judge had said to him to other inmates: delusions of grandeur you see? it doesnt disappear just because a person is incarcerated. Whats interesting is that Bundy himself tried to pass HIMSELF off as a victim! His last interview before he was put to death is very interesting indeed; in it he portrays himself as the victim of pornography, stating that being able to access violent pornography is what motivated him. Its all rubbish of course; theres lots of people who view extreme pornography but they dont murder anybody. Because Bundy could no longer have access to his chosen victims, he himself adopted the victim syndrome, which segues nicely into another facet of the psychopathic personality: a need for constant attention. They need to be the centre of attention; their megalomania, delusion and narcissism needs to be constantly sated. And what better way to get attention than to portray yourself as a victim? Also because psychopaths dont feel empathy or sympathy, they cant reciprocate. They actually see empathy and compassion as weakness; a vulnerability which needs to be exploited to its fullest.
