Re: The Suspicious Death of Kendrick Johnson
One of my in-laws is a well respected forensic pathologist and appeared recently on the news as a consultant in this case. My partner and I are both true crime/forensics buffs (she is studying to be a nurse and I, a mortician). We often talk with him about cases on which he has worked, testified or been a consultant. In this particular case, the autopsy showed bruising and damage to the neck. The most obvious suspected cause of death should have been related to this injury and not positional asphyxiation. Also, when doing post mortem on a decedent, it is procedure to place the internal organs in a plastic bag which is placed back inside the body cavity before it is transported to the funeral home. This young man's organs and brain were missing from his body and the cavities were found stuffed with newspaper at the time the second autopsy was completed, highly unusual.

Re: The Suspicious Death of Kendrick Johnson
Nobody is comparing this to the case of Emmett Till but the reverse reverse racists on this site.. The quote says "There is a post-mortem photo of Kendrick that has gone viral that is painfully reminiscent of the infamous images of Emmet Till. " Reading comprehension, much? it's a shame how this investigation is handled and when the story hits the news, we get people like you and others on this site who say stupid shit and actually make it into a race issue. I read the article and seen the father talk in the interviews. Not once did I see it or him mention race, but people who post here. In conclusion, it is comparable to emmett till due to the fact of HOW THEY LOOK in death. I've never seen that Emmet Till photo, but I see the comparison. That is all. |

Re: The Suspicious Death of Kendrick Johnson
I'm not entirely convinced this wasn't just a freak accident. If he were to stand on or hop from these rolled up mats, playfully, then fall in head first...he may suffocate...his face was due to being upside down and compressed.....just saying i wouldnt jump right to foul play..specially in a school gym, etc

Re: The Suspicious Death of Kendrick Johnson
According to the news video it's blood from the victim. And maybe I'm missing an obvious reason but.. if he dove into the mat to get a shoe, I would think the shoe would be beneath him... why then am I seeing a pair of shoes in the bottom pic by his knees? |
