Good post, **Lady. I see you're doing serial killers. That's giving a lot of "flavor" to these posts. Interestingly, while Richard Speck was a fugitive living in a Chicago flophouse, he got into a fight with someone there, and had to be taken to the hospital for his wounds. He was captured when the attending physician, after noticing the tatoo on his arm, which bore the words "Born To Raise Hell," contacted the local authorities.

The night he brutally murdered eight student nurses, one nurse survived by hiding underneath the bed while he carried out his grisly task, one victim after another, while whistling the whole time. She lived to testify against him at trail, and in a dramatic courtroom act, when asked to identify Speck, she came off the witness stand, walked over to him and pointed directly in his face.
