Yeah, the tower victims that jumped looked worse than this, but this is as close as I have seen any movie get. Final destination 5 tried with the guy falling from the bridge after being impaled by rebar.
They got the sound about right, but not the blood or visuals.

I'll have watch that Dredd movie, it looks interesting. Thanks Dan !

Sorry Codemonkey, just rereading somethings and figured I'd answer you a little better. Remember the shit they used to use in school to soak up vomit ? It almost smelled worse than the vomit its self. Some people that jumped had been burning prior to impact, and the smell lingered even after they hit.

Apparently someone tried to cover this up with that shit, because it smelled like that nasty ass shit they used in school. I would have thought the WTC would have had better stuff than that being the financial hub of the U.S.A., but I guess not.

At any rate, there was debris everywhere of all kinds, dust from sheet rock, metal from the planes and buildings, paper upon piles of paper, body parts, some covered with sheets, some not.

I guess they could not cover them all at first, and by the time the second plane hit, it as no longer a priority. Parts of the ground were black from burning debris, and the concrete was cracked open in places. It was hell on earth literally.

This was a couple of blocks past the trade center. I guess they stopped after the second plane, covering body parts was no longer a priority, understandably.

Lateral expulsion ? You mean like the heart and lungs don't pop out when they explode ?

In the clip they don't...in real life I would imagine the more solid organs go flying...though the heart and lungs would probably be shredded by the rib cage...

The ribs do shred them. You could tell what a kidney was because of the shape, but it was still be damaged severely. You being an EMT, how do you suppose the heads would survive a fall like that ?

They are one of the most fragile parts of the body.
