Dangerous precedent set here. It’s like the first time someone decided to use a vehicle as a weapon. Simple, effective and very hard to police or stop.

Maybe if we had some laws that stipulated anyone who required help actually got it before they end up going nuts. Or that some people would stop trying to infest crazy beliefs into the minds of others who haven't been taught how to think critically. It'll be interesting to finally see what the motive was for this. Whitman knew something was happening in his head and couldn't figure it out. If he'd got the proper medical treatment early on who knows what could have been avoided.

While it’s impossible to completely eradicate events like this, the fact is they are far more common in the US than anywhere else. And how did the right to bear arms help any one of those victims in Vegas? Or any other mass shooting for that matter? No one was able to stop the shooter, take him down, be the hero. The only person the gun laws helped was the nutcase who owned 10 assault rifles and used them on the crowd til he offed himself.

I know this will get me lots of groans but honestly, when will the truth start sinking in?

Stick to the truth and get facts straight first and you won’t get groaned at. The killer fired from a building 27 stories up. Bunkered in, in a hotel room. How the fuck could anyone who carried at that concert have prevented this? Should all just fired at random up at the building?
