Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

He may have been breathing but I doubt he was conscious.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

He had tongue protrusion too.....

In the forensic assessment of burned bodies, the question of whether the victim was exposed to the fire before or after death is of crucial importance. Several external signs have been used in the past to indicate heat exposure prior to the death of the victim but these did not include tongue protrusion. The internal signs of heat exposure are generally regarded as much more important than those observed externally. No one factor has been found to be totally reliable. This study found a statistically significant dependence between tongue protrusion and presence of soot in the respiratory tract and stomach, the latter being a good indicator of vital burning. The results of this study confirm that tongue protrusion can be used as an additional indicator of vital burning.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

The soot in his lungs (you mentioned in an earlier post) indicates he was still breathing post impact.
Could be agonal breathing or - I forgot the other term (reactive, reflective or something) but they are already more or less gone. Not saying they were or werent - certainly a ton of possiblities out there.

I did also read both victims carbon monoxide levels were higher than usual in the toxicology report.

But they had only just left some kind of sports car event, so I guess that explains the higher than normal levels of CM....Especially if they were in pit garages with engines running ?....Dunno.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

That is just horrible. With no head injury, then what's the chance that Paul was unconscious? I think he did feel the fire somewhat. Ahhh

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

I've always hoped he was unaware after the impact. Burning alive is such a horrible way to die.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

It seems so brutal, even if it's seconds or minutes. It's so painful to even touch a hot stove by accident, I can't imagine burning at all.

Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

Hey guys...my first post, great site. I looked through the entire thread, and I was surprised no one posted this video. You can see Paul's body at about the 1 minute mark. Rest In Peace Paul.
