Re: Paul Walker Death Picture

I found these photos on a facebook group I am on. Totally different view, I have never seen before until today. Same car, you can see the red paint.

If not knocked unconscious from the initial driver's side impact, certainly from the second passenger side impact. Walker was unconscious *and* not breathing, post impact, which can quickly lead to total oxygen starvation of the brain -- it is a downward spiral from there, commonly fatal if CPR/chest compressions aren't immediately employed. Part of his skull was exposed, no doubt this caused brain damage due to heat. Walker was certainly not aware of anything at all. Did he suffer? That would have required consciousness, which he wasn't.
Have you not seen the video where he was trying climb out the top of the car and then fell back in? Laryngospasm can prevent soot from getting into the lungs secondary to severe thermal shrinkage, etc.

Goodness. What an awful way to go. Hopefully, it was quick so he didn't have to suffer knowing he was going to die. His face however tells me he was aware for at least a bit.

If it makes you feel any better, you can't tell anything from his face. Muscles contract when someone dies in a fire, that's why everything looks kind of taut, and like he's rigid. If he was ever conscious after the crash, he was likely so out of it he didn't know where he was. If he suffered, it probably wasn't very conscious of it for very long.

Oof. That does make me feel a bit better. But man, what a horrible way to go.

I highly doubt that after seeing a charred body it would be easy to identify, and you can clearly see in the photos the suffering they must have gone through.
