For some inexplicable reason, US media at least and Obama himself ("I don't want to speculate on who did this") refuse to acknowledge anything so you won't see someone say it if you are around here. (I don't know about other media.) Eyewitness accounts are stating the guys referenced Syria, Iraq and ISIS and report the men were screaming Allah Akbar in the process.

That said, no other group carries out mass suicide bombing attacks, and combine it with the MO of the way the stormed the places they did with AKs and what they said - it's certainly not going to be local, outraged Vicars.

Edit 10 minutes later: Scratch that, for the first time since I started watching, CNN mentioned the Allah Akbar comments with the interview they just did with an INT committee member, who stated this was almost certainly ISIS.

I updated my post - I just heard CNN's most recent interview finally address the Islamic side of it. What's ridiculous to me, is that Obama and his speechwriters are going to pretend we need to wait and figure it out. We have the best intelligence in the world and network with the other best. Actually, Middle Eastern extremism is really barely a century old. Even in the 1950's, before this very prohibitive version of Sharia Law enacted, Muslims and Arabs were giving the world the greatest advances in math and sciences. Several 100-400 year old Arabic dynasties/monarchies were run by women. Around the time Hitler was gaining popularity, this radical version of Islam started making the rounds and since much of the Middle East was at fair stability, they had no real militarized presence to fight off the inevitable coups, all operating under the idea that somehow, God wanted them all to blow each other up and women should be covered head to toe (even now, it's getting more extreme in the hijabs now being required for women to have "screens" on their eye slots, whereas before, they could at least cover all up and leave eyes).

Women in those days were beat or brutalized into submission and convinced via Stockholm Syndrome that their having any sort of self identity was evil and they'd all go to hell.

Really, the biggest reach in history was the Brits - who did the same thing up through the early 1900's actually. Where the Brits pulled back, they ran in and took over the peoples the Brits released direct rule over... and now you see today.

Just because they could. Soft target, American band, western fanbase.

I think they actually wanted to make the most impact at the football match, but that doesn't seem to have worked out for the assholes as well as they'd hoped.

Had they waited 1 more day they would have done it at a U2 concert, which was going to be shown live on TV on HBO.
