Re: Nick Hogan's Friend, John Graziano After The Accident
I had to pull the plug on my fiance. It's hard to do, but necessary sometimes. Guaranteed this dude would rather be dead.

Re: Nick Hogan's Friend, John Graziano After The Accident
Because he was still active duty (in transition to reserves but had been activated and had an upcoming ToD - which is why he was treated at the VA here), his costs were covered until the move is made for him to leave service. I don't know what experiences you have, but Tricare covers ALL medical incidents for active duty troops. If my husband is in a car accident, they cover his costs - even if he was drunk driving and ran into a ravine. The military CAN make moves to recover money but it's not likely, costs more to get from something from someone who has no earning capacity. Tricare will get reimbursed only to a point but they still pay all the costs up front, until the point is settled, his state is determined and he is officially discharged. At that point, they will take some from the settlement that was put aside for medical from the date of the accident until the date of the settlement, but the costs are all paid for by Tricare from the start and they never came close to recovering the millions spent at the VA to treat him, versus what the settlement came out to be. John would then move to the regular disability dole in the US. Right now, the mother gets also gets a stipend from the government for being an "in-home care nurse" to a disabled person. |

He isn't walking or talking. His organs are - for all intents and purposes - being reanimated by machines. He has zero autonomous function. He's not in a "mild coma" either.
