There are rumours now that it may have been caused by a drug overdose. No confirmation of this at all, just something I've read. Others say a combination of drugs and exhaustion with rehearsals. Oh well. |

According to The Sun, a source at the UCLA hospital they had been told by aides that Jackson had fallen ill after he had taken an injection of potent Demerol, a powerful painkiller. The source said, “Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to experience slow shallow breathing.”

I get what you guys are saying: he's just a man, just like any other person shown on this site. People say it's so tragic because he was a pop icon who many people actually liked. At work this morning before I left, the older employees were sad about his death, while I felt kind of...not indifferent, but not really torn up about it. I'm 22...most of what I remember of MJ is the accusations of him being a child molester. I didn't grow up with the Jackson 5, and I'm not sure he was even black anymore (by appearance, I mean) by the time I was born (1986)... My point is, it's tragic much more for those who remember Michael before he got all weird and obsessive about his nose.  The "Hollywood Rule of Three" is really freaky...Natasha Richardson, Farrah Fawcett, and now Michael Jackson. |
