Re: Lizzie Borden Murders - Crime Scene & Death Pictures
Good post! This case has always fascinated me. John Douglas, renowned FBI profiler wrote about this case in his book 'The Cases that Haunt Us'. He breaks down the case and offers his expert opinion about who he believes did it (Lizzie) and why (her father probably molested her, and also was going to give his estate to Lizzie's stepmother, and not to Lizzie and her sister). He breaks that case down well, as well as many other famous "unsolved" cases; JonBenet Ramsey, Jack the Ripper, the Zodiac, etc. It's a good read I would definitely recommend to a true crime buff :) I have always wanted to visit the Lizzie Borden house. Now it's a museum and Bed and Breakfast - I believe you can even actually stay in the room the stepmother was murdered in. Thanks for sharing the post :) |

Re: Lizzie Borden Murders - Crime Scene & Death Pictures
From what I've read and understand, if her father died then the stepmother would inherit everything..and then if she died it would go to her family. Nothing would go to Lizzie and her sister. Big speculation as to why the stepmother was killed first. |

Re: Lizzie Borden Murders - Crime Scene & Death Pictures
Am I the only one that believes she did not commit the murders, I believe it was her other sister or perhaps the help. Something about it just doesn't ring true to me. Of course if it was someone else the nursery rhythm would be ruined. |

You should read "Parallel Lives". It is the definitive work on all things Lizzie. I am sleeping in the room where step mama bit it this weekend. :)
