I'm not a huge fan of him but having dealt with suicidal thoughts and attempts in the past.. he probably felt that Frances would be better off... that's what his suicide note said. For the majority of his life he drank and started heiron at 18. When Courtney became pregnant she kept doing herion until she was 4 months pregnant. Then switched to methadone. Frances was born addicted to methadone. Kurt was ashamed of himself for letting his wife do such harm. He publicly threatened vanity Fair for the article on his family. Everything went down hill from there. About a month after getting of the hospital for the rohypnol overdose he committed suicide.

@insanone85, First of all, I don't normally like documentaries. People don't realize the power of editing and the "cherry-picking" of facts. Realize that documentaries are entertainment, not historical record.

Second, I'm not a big conspiracy theorist: "Occam's Razor" and all.

With that disclaimer out of the way, "Soaked in Bleach" is a documentary that is worth watching!

The first thing that struck me about Cobain's suicide is the fact that supposedly he used a 20 gauge shotgun. Admittedly, those are a lot less powerful than a 12 gauge, which photos we've all seen on DR. But the eyewitness testimony clearly described a "bullet" entry wound to the face, & exit wound from the head. The ammunition nearby (from what I saw) weren't Slugs. They were standard yellow, folded-crimp tops. That means pellet shot. If I could find that photo and see the shells again, I could tell you even more about it.

To me, that might indicate staging of the crime-scene by someone with zero ballistic and firearms knowledge: "I mean, like, guns shoot bullets, right?"

On the other hand, I found the documentary's assertion of the ejected casing being found on the wrong side a pretty weak argument. It could've hit Kurt's arm on ejection. And it's not that powerful. I've been hit by all sorts of casings that never left a mark.

Honestly, absolutely everything about this case could be cleared up if the ME just released the pictures. But they're Courtney's property, and she won't do it.

I get two lessons of this case:
1) Don't marry a self-centered psycho-bitch like Courtney Love.
2) Don't be a heroin addict who marries a self-centered psycho bitch like Courtney love.

Kurt's "life-choices" weren't exactly of the highest caliber, so it was pretty easy to say, "Yeah, just another dead rock-'n-roll junkie."

Did Courtney kill Kurt???? Watch the documentary, review the facts, then decide, and chime in here!

And as to the argument that he would've been too high to pull the trigger? Even a mainlined, lethal dose of heroin doesn't hit instantly. He'd of had well over 10 seconds to pull the trigger. Moving slowly and deliberately, it took me about six seconds to emulate it; try it yourself! **** Unloaded shotguns only, please! **** (Even you, rob666.)

I'm starting to side with the cops on this one. Courtney may have done it, but all she needs is reasonable doubt, & without further evidence, I think she's at least got that.

Again, full autopsy report and Medical Examiner pics could put a lot to rest.

I have been a fan of Kurt (and Nirvana) since 1992. I think a piece of me died when he did....with that being said... I completely believe that Courtney had her man nanny load Kurt full of heroin and shoot him.

"Soaked in Bleach" is an amazing doc. Tom Grant did a really excellent job of gathering the facts. I was impressed that he actually went to Courtney and told her he didn't feel right taking anymore of her money, because he did believe she was involved somehow, and he was going to fund the rest of the investigation himself. I think its pretty obvious that Courtney wanted Kurt dead because he was going to divorce her. I also believe that the "suicide note" was a letter that Kurt was writing for us fans because he wanted to retire. Courtney saw her opportunity and she took it. I fucking hate her. RIP Kurt.

Courtney had nothing to do with Kurt's death, Kurt was a depressed and seriously fucked up individual. His old diary and memoirs proved that he suffered major depression and was suicidal from a young age. Courtney is pretty crazy, but she's no murderer. Real fans of nirvana know how messed up Kurt was and can accept he wanted a way out, saw an opportunity and took it. Very few nirvana "fans" actually take the time to read Kurt's biographies and memoirs and get to know the guy.

He had a really tough time since he was a child. He tried to commit suicide when he was in high school. Courtney Love didn t mess him up. She made him happy. She let him get married in his pajamas - how many women would be ok with that? As much as I like some nirvana music, there is no getting around it; that guy had serious mental problems. Hole wasn't such a bad band either, Courtney love had no reason to kill Kurt she was rich herself. Fans have brought this topic up to certain people like Billy Corgan, who knew both kurt and courtney, only to have their asses handed to them. Why? Because all these other fMous rockstars knew how fucked up Kurt was and saw what the fans didn't get to see behind all the scenes. She didn't need to murder him, he was destined before he even met her.
