Re: The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
Never heard of it but spent all day yesterday clicking links, some working, most not. Very interesting story. Some of the forums were awesome but it's a circle jerk whodunit .... There was no justice for this family. That's the sad part.

Re: The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
Went back home to Chico, CA last week and it had been exactly 34 years since the murders and my mom and uncles talked about it like it had just happened. There is even some local dirtbag that gives tours to where the cabin used to be. I have the VHS of the documentary "Cabin 28: The Keddie Murders" and getting it transferred to DVD and all I need is figure out how an idiot like me can somehow link it for you. Any suggestions? |

Re: The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
So I was watching that and going back and reading the stuff on the thread. If you notice that Justin Smartt never looks directly at the camera. He is totally lying. Sucks that guy died in 2002. Now they will never be solved. |

Re: The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
This case is fascinating, and there's still groups who are actively sleuthing this one. I used to be a member on the site Keddie28.com which has a forum where the surviving family and the guy who made the films have all been active participants in the past. I've left the site after seeing how the founder treated some of the survivors, especially poor Sheila, who was the 14 year old daughter who discovered the murders. They basically dragged her over the coals, made up stories about her somehow being involved, and generally treated her like dirt. Very sad. But there is some good info on the site.

Re: The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
I still have to finish it. It is pretty long. There are two parts. I fell asleep on it last night. Not a good thing to fall asleep on The way the forums are treating the sister reminds me of Dark Places. I wonder if she got her inspiration from this murder. That is awful they are treating her this way as she was not even there. I misread the earlier posts because the second part was filmed in 2004 and that Justin Smartt guy was still alive and acting really sketchy. The stepfather Marty and his friend Bo are dead and were dead in 2002. Did the brother ever speak publicly? It seems to me they could get some DNA off the weapons though even if they destroyed the cabins. They must have stored the evidence badly. |

Re: The Keddie Murders Crime Scene Photos
Yeh I think the case was bungled pretty badly... Of course people have conspiracy theories about cops being involved and covering up for friends... Who knows!
