That's what I always thought. There seem to be no signs of entry/exit through that window apart from the fact it was open.

I reckon the brother did it and the parents helped covered for him. However, I've only just started looking into this one, so I might change my mind yet!

So did they ever actually find out who did this? It seems pretty crazy that with all the DNA testing and crime scene investigations that it's taken them so long.

The current theory is that it was a Hispanic male who entered the home & kidnapped her. Probably a vagrant or drifter, the perpetrator remains unknown & presumably at large.

The parents & Ramsey family have been 100% cleared in the investigation. Be careful of any sites telling you otherwise. The vast majority are old data, based on bad information. Most of the accusations leveled against the parents were based on extraordinarily biased media reports, & a racist, inept Colorado detective who bungled the investigation.

Don't believe me that the Ramseys were cleared 100%? Call the police department cold case division & ask for yourself.

The Ramsey case & the Monday-morning quarterbacking by assholes (including the lead detective) who assumed the "perfect, white Christian family" MUST have something to hide is one of the greatest travesties this country has ever produced. In what should have been an outpouring of support for a family suffering the worst crime imaginable, instead saw jealousy & hatred cast suspicion on the innocent, & let the guilty escape into the night, & likely across the border.

From the arrangement of the string used to strangle her, and the addition of the stick to enhance the pressure, I have a feeling whoever did that wasn't doing it for the first time. And considering he wasn't caught, probably not the last time, either.

the closed grand jury convicted the mother, but the DA at the time refused to press charges due to political pressure. Moms with Jon Benet now anyway. Both are dead. Secrets stay with them

The cops told him to check the basement, and anywhere else they hadn't looked. Something the cops should have done. They really messed this case up.
Also, it really grosses me out to hear all the "men" on here, referring to this little girl as looking like a slut. First, she's just in nice dresses and the occasional bathing suit. Second, if you can see any little girl as a "slut," please seek help..
