Jayne Mansfield Death Pictures
Jayne Mansfield, a renowned actress and model, tragically died in an automobile accident on June 29, 1967, at the age of 34. Born Vera Jayne Palmer on April 19, 1933, in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Mansfield was a prominent figure in Hollywood, known for her work in film and as a model. The fatal accident occurred on U.S. Route 90, east of New Orleans, Louisiana. Mansfield was a passenger in a car that struck the rear of a trailer truck. The crash resulted in her instant death, along with her attorney Sam Brody and driver Ronnie Harrison. Contrary to widespread rumors, Mansfield was not beheaded in the accident; however, the circumstances of the crash were nonetheless gruesome and tragic. In a poignant note, Mansfield's children – Miklós, Zoltán, and Mariska Hargitay – were also in the car but survived the accident, sleeping in the back seat at the time of the collision.  ·  ·  ·  ·
