Lavender marriage... Other Lavender marriages: Freddie Mercury, Cary Grant, Rock Hudson (who also diddled another LM recipient - Anthony Perkins), Michael Barrymore, Michael Redgrave, Rudolph Valentino, Oscar Wilde, Judy Garland, Joan Crawford, Barbara Stanwyck Katherine Hepburn, John Travolta, and most likely, Laurence Olivier and Blake Edwards (who never had any natural children with Julie Andrews, despite both having them naturally previously, they adopted). And most of them had been close/great friends prior to their fixed marriages. Heck, Freddie divorced Mary after years of a relationship, but still lived with her and they were closer than any two humans, to the point he left her the bulk of his estate when he died... but I wouldn't call him straight because of it. And most of them perpetuated by Eddie Mannix. Rebel's director stated Dean was gay. Or he was sleeping his way to the top... there are quite a few allegedly straight men who get paid 10-25x more in gay adult films than they'd make in straight ones ...either way, he did dudes. |
