James Brown, the legendary American singer, songwriter, and music performer, known as the "Godfather of Soul," passed away on December 25, 2006, at the age of 73. James Brown was admitted to Emory Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, with pneumonia and passed away in the early hours of Christmas Day.
