If I remember right they show more blood spatter/tissue(?) around the webbing of the seat belts. Also funny side note--Recently I went through North Carolina on a cross country trip and toured many of the NASCAR shops including Dale Earnhardt INC... In the museum portion of the facility I noticed on all of his driver suit "uniforms" that were on display had a black piece of tape on the upper shoulder covering up someting. Must have been at least 10 different ones with this. I looked closely and finally found one that was peeling a bit and saw underneath it. A Simpson racing patch....Manufacturer of the seat belts used in NASCAR at the time. The company his widow sued claiming they caused his death.

thats because simpson saved many lives and this asshole dale always modified his belts...said less stitching would save weight.truth.

Photos from this unfortunate death will probably never be seen. The widow and much of the racing community asked for and received the services of a top-notch web cryptographer to oversee the transfer of the autopsy photos from police to coroner and others. The cryptographer is rather famous, and is an author on the subject. I would name him, but I know him well enough to respect his professional efforts on behalf of the decedent"s family. Whatever he did to encrypt those images was apparently very effective.

I was having my son's 1st birthday party... I was taping him... Behind him was the race, showed the crash... When I went back to view the tape, everything was there (race) EXCEPT the part of the crash... It was just blank space and then when the race resumed, there was the race again... Very eerie and spooky if you asked me... It taped the whole race, except for the crash

The crash was on the last lap. The race was over.

The only thing that raced after the crash was the ambulance and the media.

I never quite understood this death. I have seen the video of the crash many times, and it just doesn't look that serious, let alone fatal.
