Re: HQ Images From The 09/11/2001 Attack on the Pentagon
Yes, I do, I just got back from having dinner out. Well, apparently, your sources and my sources of information are completely different. Apparently the world trade center, being over 100 stories was made of balsa wood, papier mache, and staples. Somebody could have pissed on the side of the towers and they would have collapsed. A strong wind could have knocked it over. But in reality, you know, idiot...the REAL world. A modern skyscraper such as the towers were, has NEVER collapsed due to fire, earthquake, hurricane...etc. etc. etc. We'll never agree, that much is true. You are always going to believe your story, andI am always going to believe mine. |

I didn't mean to offend you, pbraasch or the "inbred moron" crackhead nutjob. I just stated it's impossible to debate with those "know-it-all" smart ass types. |

Um... from that angle it appears to not be leaning and not on fire. There are many, many, many images of the extensive fires in the building and much eyewitness testimony of the damage to the building and the degree to which it was leaning. And, incidentally, physics says that the building could not collapse at greater than freefall speed no matter what caused the collapse. Ipso facto, therefore, you're wrong. |

Re: HQ Images From The 09/11/2001 Attack on the Pentagon
Nope. There was no reinforced concrete in the core (or exterior walls) of the Twin Towers. The core was steel columns and, yes, gypsum sheetrock. If the core had been concrete, the only way to take those buildings down would have been one floor at a time. Dropping the entire basement substructure probably would not have caused them to collapse.

Re: HQ Images From The 09/11/2001 Attack on the Pentagon
Hi ebneter, I didn't say "greater than freefall", I meant freefall speed. When each floor, from the top down, would hit the next floor, there would be a brief "pause" if you will from one to the next. I believe I saw something (and forgive me if I'm wrong...not looking it up ) that stated it would take something like 9 or 10 seconds for a building like that to collapse upon itself. All I am trying to say is that questions should be asked, it was a major event and, unfortunately, I think we got the same answer to this as when Kennedy was assassinated. "There is nothing to see here...move on". There really was no all encompassing investigation done. It just seemed too quick, too hasty. But just a question, have you seen videon where it doesn't seem to topple over to one side, but comes straight down upon itself? |
