Loved the movie in terms of detail given to the ship. Probably the closest we'll ever come to actually being there (unless in our lifetime we actually do invent the holodeck).

part of why he said that was
he was a poor guy who won tickets on the titanic in a bet
and he meets this great girl and he is young
so as he is on the front of the boat he is feeling a lot of elation and on top of the world
so he yells that
i'm king of the world
i dont think its only because he is on the front of the boat
