What is sad about this case is kelly had over 92 run in with the police of all different degrees so the police knew about him, not good, but as a parent I would do every thing in my power to have my son committed for his own protection and the community til he could prove that he could stay on his meds. If his own family lost touch then its a train wreck waiting to happen. Of course the cops were excessive but then again normally one taser shot would stop someone 5 did nothing. They had no training for this situation, not excusing it but frankly I believe the family should have make a case for committal instead they received 5 mil
