If this douchebag complied, instead of resisting 10 cops, he would be alive today. The cops were perfectly justified and acted appropriately. This point of view may be unpopular, but I really dont give a shit!

Someone who is a homeless schizophrenic probably has a pretty hard time thinking and acting rationally. There is no reason for a cop to use excessive and ultimately deadly force on someone who does not pose them a physical threat greater than a couple of scratches or maybe a bruise or two.

I understand that police officers put themselves in dangerous situations on a regular basis for the good of us all, but honestly, you really think it's appropriate to tase a non-compliant person repeatedly and then bash his face in out of frustration while putting such extreme pressure on his chest that he is unable to breathe and dies? A nightstick to the shins or a single taser shock or a little round of pepper spray I get. But these cops had an emotional response. This was anger, frustration. They were no more rational in their response than this terrified mentally ill man who in no way deserved a death sentence for his initial "crime" of LOITERING, nor did he deserve it for his other "crime" of resisting arrest.

Compliance to the law would have improved Kelly Thomas' chances of a different outcome to this situation. Why did the police have contact with him in the first place?
