She did indeed. Apparently she was found by a mother and daughter thinking she was a broken store dummy lying among the rubble.

She was in an empty lot, right next to the road. She was laid out in a rather artistic manner despite being bisected. I have a few books on the Black Dahlia, one of which is full of pics. It's fascinating.

It is! Especially that more then 50 people confessed. All of her fingertips were sliced off she was covered in cigarette burns. The last person she was seen with was this married guy at the Biltmore hotel, but that's the last anyone saw of her....Such a fascinating mystery.
