I think it's the whole senseless violence thing that people want to stop. The poisoning of millions can be rationalized, as there are too many people on the planet for naturally grown resources to sustain.

I'm curious as to your thoughts on why none of these mass shootings ever stopped by an armed civilian? If you have the worlds largest volume of "self defense tools" in circulation then why does it seem that nobody can defend themselves?

On my travels to violence hot spots I initially found myself alarmed at seeing so many military style weapons on the streets, after getting used to it I now feel much safer in these places when I can see guns, nobody is going to try anything funny. It's the concealed ones that make me nervous.

Even if you arm hospitals, schools, churches is it really going to stop these shootings? In my opinion no, because the people committing these offences will always look for a weak target, and their access to these "self defense" tools, that are capable of killing armies, is not compromised.

The answer to your question about why this happens when we are so well armed is actually laughably easier to answer. Which is we aren't as well armed as you think. Yet again, we run into the all too common misconception about firearms in the u.s. that everyone is armed and has the right to have them, etc.

The fact is, the vast majority of states have very strict gun control already. In fact in the VAST majority of cases, the mass shootings happen in states that have the strictest gun control policies. So quiet simply there are no legally armed citizens to stop it. Let's go straight to the last major case which happened in California. That state has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.

So the people there, many of whom are gun control advocates made the perfect targets because they of course were unarmed.

Obviously the two shooters weren't too concerned about gun control laws when they killed 14 people. Perhaps if a gun control advocate had been there to better explain that owning those assault weapons was illegal in CA, they wouldn't have done it huh? Lol.

I just read an article this morning actually where a politician said that not a single one of the mass shootings that has happened over the past few decades would have been prevented with the proposed gun control measures that are now being presented.

The mouth breathers in the media who have been pushing gun control propaganda for decades were anxious to do the homework on that to make him look like the fool that he is quickly found out that they themselves were the fools. He was right!

That's what people like me try to tell the gun grabbers, but they just don't get it. I think it's safe to say that gun control advocates aren't intelligent. At least the ones on the street who are the average person. The ones who are politicians that are pro gun control, are indeed smart. Because they know what the REAL agenda is and they use simple to dispute so called facts to influence the simple minded average person which permeates the earth right now.

Most so called mass shootings are actually done with handguns and rifles, yet EVERY time they happen, the first thing gun grabbers start chanting is, we have to get rid of assault weapons, lol. It's like if someone you don't know punched you in the face and you turned around and punched out your mother for it, who had nothing to do with it. Lol, it's that laughably stupid. But as I said, the hidden agenda is against so called assault weapons.

There are so many guns in this country, the subject of gun control is laughable at any rate. There is quiet literally no way to solve it. If they made the ownership of all guns illegal today and tried to take them, blood would flow in the streets like has never been seen in the modern world. America would quiet simply go tits up and the rest of the world would follow as countries like china and russia made their move to take over the world for their personal gain.

As for your feelings about fearing concealed guns more than open carry ones, I don't understand that, but that's a phobia of yours, not mine, lol. I'm not sure what you mean about countries where they carry openly versus concealed being safer. I think if you check statistics, you will find that your idea on that one doesn't hold water.

However, if you feel safer where guns are carried openly, then you would love Arizona. Guns are everywhere here. And we have far less gun violence than some of the places in the country that has some of the strictest laws including washington DC, where it is illegal to own handguns.

I presume you are aware for instance that in mexico which has as much gun violence as many arab countries, has some of the strictest gun control of any country? So what good does it do them?

As I have always said, we have to address the REAL reason why gun violence and all other violence happens. Such as islam, lol. Until we do that, things won't change. As I said, if we are about saving lives, there are countless other ways to save millions of lives instead of the dozens we are discussing here.

To refer to it as "senseless violence" has no real value to the facts at any rate. That's just people's perception and fears.

It's far more senseless that we eat poison on a daily basis through GMO's which is a problem that could be solved over night. But there are too many of our politicians who are paid off by monsanto for that to happen.
