Re: Columbine Victim's Death & Crime Scene Pictures
Just finished Sue Klebold's book "A Mother's Reckoning: Living in the Aftermath of Tragedy." A must-read. Heartbreaking and insightful. So much inside information into Dylan. So sad. |

Same here, loved reading it and I hate reading. Makes you realize that regardless of the horrible actions Dylan did in his final moments, he was hurting more than anyone knew. I myself have deal with extreme depression so I can kind of relate to his internal suffering. But even though he was hurting emotionally, nothing will ever excuse the atrocities he and Eric committed. |

Re: Columbine Victim's Death & Crime Scene Pictures
I lived in Denver when this happened. A week or so later after the tragedy, a picture of the cafeteria ran in the rocky mtn news. Witnesses noted lots of abandoned backpacks, lots of pagers that would never be answered beeping incessantly. Not noted, the heavy black pall of shock and grief that a city of 6 million vomited into the atmosphere. Words cant even begin to describe it.

Re: Columbine Victim's Death & Crime Scene Pictures
Over the years I've wondered how much bullying played a part in this. According to some reports, Klebold and Harris were severely bullied, yet other reports have them being the bullies. The school had a bad reputation over the years, but I guess only someone who went there knows the truth. Also I wonder if things have changed a lot there in recent yeasr. I came across a YouTube video by a teen girl talking about living with cerebral palsy who went Columbine a few years back. When I heard her first say that, I thought OMG, a girl with CP going to Columbine, what kind of living hell did those kids turn her life into? But she says that the kids there were actually very supporting and understanding of her condition…which are not the attributes usually associated with Columbine students. So I wonder if things there are a 180 change from how things were in 1999.
