Re: Boy In The Box Death Pictures
This story always makes me so sad. Every year that passes the hope of ever finding out fades. It would be nice for one of these stupid fucks to say something on their death bed. They will have nothing to lose at that point. Honestly. |

Re: Boy In The Box Death Pictures
After looking over this, the original thread, & the links to the website abt the case, it's beyond me how NO ONE was able to find out anything abt this poor child or who may have been involved in his death. The box had a shipping label with order number, is that not traceable at all? The blanket: it doesn't look like your standard "baby blanket", I'd imagine in this small town in 1957 it would also be easier then than now to track down where it could've been purchased, same is true of the hat. There's so many clues at the scene as it is. They've obviously got DNA from the child, as they ruled out people from the nearby foster home via DNA. Considering the advancements in DNA now, it's possible to type & track DNA & potential relatives, has no one tried that? I know there's tons of unsolved crimes out there, many more current than "1 unknown little boy from 1957 who no one claimed or seemed to miss", but everyone deserves proper peace, & he deserves to have the truth revealed.

Re: Boy In The Box Death Pictures
This was somewhat before my time but I do remember it being brought up every now and then. What a shame. I cant help but think that if this had happened today we would have found out who this little angel was and what happened to him. Thank God for DNA now.

Re: Boy In The Box Death Pictures
Why not? It IS possible, assuming that someone related has DNA on file somewhere the lineage could be tracked.

Re: Boy In The Box Death Pictures
Yes i seen this very sad story on a few crime solving shows and it stuck with me. The poor little boy was badly abused and they never solved the case. This one old detective really took a serious interest in the case and raised money to bury him proper. He really tried hard to solve it but he passed away before he could get closure. |
