Re: Boston Marathon Explosion Pictures & Video
There isn't any other events this large. The Boston Marathon is in the top 1 or 2 in the world at one time. That's what makes those claims difficult to believe - what "much larger events" did they go to? There isn't any. The Olympics on Opening night had security every two feet and then some and it's still not as big as the Marathon. While the Olympics might seem bigger, in terms of fans, size and popularity at the ceremony, it is close. There wasn't just a few thousand people at the finish line. There was around 500,000 people. There are nearly 30,000 runners alone. So yes, there WILL be more security there than anywhere else. To cover 28 miles, two sides of the streets is daunting. Photos from last year show just as many officers strung throughout the crowd and there are articles that talk about security in prior years that since 9/11, bomb sniff dogs make regular patrols. |

Agreed, he seems to be carrying that back pack on his arm in an odd way, almost as if to drop it somewhere as opposed to wear it on his back. Also he looks like a fuckin creep |

From /b/? I was scouring /b/ looking for more info, but was appalled about the jokes being made at the expense of the victims.

Re: Boston Marathon Explosion Pictures & Video
An official (who was not authorized to divulge details of the investigation) spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity and confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody and was expected at a Boston courthouse: the news briefing will clarify further, i guess.
