Boston.com talks about the photo for anyone who has issues believing TMZ (which is totally valid).

His mouth is agape. His face is awash in blood. On his left side is a wide gash where doctors cut him open to try to tsave (sic) his life.

The image of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, dead and naked on a slab, snapped by an unknown person, was e-mailed repeatedly by law enforcement officers Friday.

“Suspect 1” was written above the gruesome picture.

Seeing a photo of one of the Marathon bombing suspects dead was cathartic, said one law enforcement official who saw the picture.

Passing it around was a rare chance “to revel” while other officers searched for Tsarnaev’s brother, Dzhokhar, the official said. “Mission accomplished. We’re halfway there. Justice is served.”

Well....... they stayed in Boston after, did go on social media after and make stupid comments, the younger one went to classes like no big deal and then after their faces are plastered everywhere - they go for a drive in Boston, rob a store, kill a cop and then go for a Sunday drive where the 19yo who is NOT a leader and probably scared shitless right now with no idea what to do runs over his brother throwing grenades or whatever at the cops.

Me thinks they aren't really concerned for their "image" right now and even holed up in a basement won't work. They are doing house searches of every place, which usually includes the basement.

I don't know how to interpret that behavior. Are they stone-cold or just plain stupid?

I don't know. The younger one sounds legit smart. I figured he would have been caught by now. If he is waiting until dark to make a move, he is even smarter. I think when his brother was shot, he got away by not panicking.

One or more of the media outlets said that his tweets indicate he may be a 9/11 truther. Can anyone substantiate that? I had a look through the tweets and I'm not seeing anything.

True. Well, they'd have to be some cold-hearted pricks to be able to walk amongst their victims and literally see whose feet they dropped the bomb at... and then watch at least for a minute or two...

And stupid enough to just go about business like no one would figure them out in this day and age of ridiculous amounts of audio/photo/video at a high profile event..

But Hitler was a genius. Evil doesn't mean stupidity, but it seems like little bomber bro was following his older brother. So I guess it would matter if they went into a serious planning stage for what would happen or what to do if either of them were killed before the other. I just don't see the 19yo as the leader but that may be my prejudice on age and experience. Both of them probably got training so...

IIRC, that followed a kind of winding road to get to the page they made those claims. Seems legit but it went from like Reddit to on forum, to a comment on another page to that one.

I forget which one, I think it was the older one because he came 5yrs later was granted citizen (or permanent Visa, I don't know which is the right one) on 9/11 last year.

They're basing it off of his opinions and/or quotes. It's an assumption at the point, for the most part, I believe. He doesn't say what the opinion or quotes are directed toward, but I also haven't read his whole twitter feed. But from what I see, nothing that anyone can use to say that without doubt.
