if I remember the news station earlier said he got ran over by his brother as he was trying to escape after he(the dead one) got shot and went down, so possibly the huge cuts are from high amounts of pressure from a suv going over him, plus while in the ER room they would have cut into him to try and get the bullets out and what not woo, maybe that has something to do with it?
