Re: Anatoly Moskvin Case Biography & Crime Scene Pictures
The Nizhny Novgorod necrophile who dug up children's corpses and made dolls out of them may be released from a psychiatric hospital in Nizhny Novgorod in just a month. Anatoly Moskvin had been fascinated with burial themes since childhood and loved walking around cemeteries. At 13, he attended the funeral of an 11-year-old girl, where he was forced to kiss her right on the lips — since then he snapped. In 2011, Moskvin was detained, and more than 26 mummified bodies of girls were found in his apartment, which he dug up and turned into "dolls". He justified his actions by saying that he "wanted to have a daughter." A man accused of desecrating the bodies of deceased persons (Article 244 of the Russian Criminal Code) pleaded guilty to 44 counts. He claimed he was driven to dig up the girls' bodies by his unfulfilled dream of having his own daughter. During interrogation, the "puppeteer" explained that first his parents, then child protection authorities, had opposed his plans. His parents didn't believe Moskvin would be able to adopt a child, and officials pointed to his modest income. The scientist eventually found a solution: having spent many years fascinated by necropolitics (the study of cemeteries), he began filling his house with dead children and dressing them in dresses. The would-be father "communicated" with the "dolls" and even sang songs to them. At that time, the court found him insane and sent him to a psychiatric hospital for 11 years. In interviews with investigators, Moskvin revealed many interesting facts about himself. He admitted to a fascination with black magic and his intention to revive girls exhumed from graves in the future, when science allowed it. It must be said that this unusual patient "served out" his sentence without much enthusiasm. He repeatedly petitioned for release, wanting to leave the prison walls and finish his treatment at home. Moreover, Moskvin was considering marriage. In early autumn, the "puppeteer" turned 59. |

Never before seen photo, found it years ago on a russian blog describing how one police officer had a mental breakdown inside his house and had to be rescued and carried out. I forgot to bookmark the site, and now it doesn't come up when I reverse image search! |

Re: Anatoly Moskvin Case Biography & Crime Scene Pictures
I found a lot of stuff by searching google in russian, and also searching yandex. There exists a video which was shown on news channels in Nizhny Novgorod of the mummies being removed from his home, a lot of people complained about it. I couldn't find the full video, but I have a screenshot: |
