Whats so frikkin hard about finding volunteers to put a bullet or two thru his head,,,way cheaper and plenty of volunteers..No suffering.like that matters.

I'd like to think that the search for more humane method to execute prisoners is not as important as the pain of the executed as much as how it affects us still living. Death ends their suffering after all and many of us can be burdened to carry on with heavy conscience.
