The execution of Allen Lee Davis in the Florida electric chair on July 8, 1999, was so violent that it set off a shock wave that rippled around the world. When the Florida Supreme Court ruled, yet again, that execution by electrocution is not unconstitutional, a dissenting justice attached three photographs of the execution to his dissent and posted them on the Florida Supreme Court web site.

The photographs drew attention from all over the world, with many foreign visitors expressing disgust, while many Floridians rallied in support of "Old Sparky," as the Florida electric chair is known. One Florida woman, in an email to the court, described the photographs as "wonderful."

cheers to the electric chair.botched or not the SOB is dead.so therefore a successfull exicution.Why Do they even do lethal injection?They essentially get to 'go to sleep'.
yeah they know they gonna die and maybe freakin out but too easy a way out in my opinion.The victums rarely get a quick easy death.quite the opposit.

The Death Penalty! Drives me frigging insane. IF you get the death penalty sentence it SHOULD hurt! You must have done something pretty bad to get the death sentence in the first place. It ain't meant to send you 'nighty night, sleep tight' all nice and cosy.
YOU SHOULD SUFFER! You made your victim suffer. They didn't get a choice in how you killed them. Therefore, you sick bastards you need to suffer for your crime.

More than likely there are no serial killers that are going to read this, but geez Louise, I am so sick and tired of hearing about how violent killers shouldn't be put to death because it's inhumane. If I had my way, they would all die in exactly the same way they chose to kill their victims. And they sure as shit would not be givien a lovely jab in the arm and sent off to sleep nice and peacefully. That isn't a death sentence, it's euthanasia, or like putting a dog to sleep. Bullshit.

Great pics, but it annoys me that the Americans are the only civilized country with the death penalty. It's a bit hypocritical to me.
