I think it just goes to show how stupid some members of this site really are. You're saying the passenger (Paul Walker) deserved it, when he had no control over the vehicle. Want someone to blame; blame the driver.  |

My understanding is that the turn they were going around was 15mph but the road is typically 45 (used to be 35). It's an industrial park that's usually empty which is why they took the car for a ride in that area. He left the event, said he'd be back in 20 minutes, and then they heard the loud explosion soon after. I know not everyone likes his acting but he was a huge humanitarian (he did a lot of hands-on work with human and animal charities). He and Roger created ROWW and it was their event they were leaving. He also had a 15 year old daughter. Roger had an 8 year old son who saw everything. |

In looking at an Arial view of the area, they were coming off of a long slow curve..no doubt they were going fast and very likely drifting it...I'm guessing whatever happened, happened coming out of that drift / curve and he couldn't get it gathered up, lost it and spun through the pole. You'll notice the pole isn't one of the "breakaway" poles you often see either, might also be a factor?

I see two bodies. The center one and the one to the left of it. Their heads are directly across from one another. You can see the rib/chest structure of the one on the left. You can clearly also see his face.

So after Nikki Catsouras, Ryan Dunn, and now this, here's my takeaway. Stay the hell out of Porsches. As an aside, the Catsouras pics are what led me to DR. One day I was in a doctor's office and I read an article in Forbes about how her family was trying to get her pictures off the internet. Naturally that only made me want to google them, so I did that when I got home and stumbled upon this site. Funny how these things work out. |
