Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I don't think this fight needs more promotion. People know what they get with Anderson Silva. This ain't a Mayweather fight.

Fuck Sonnen. He's a steroid abuser, cheater and a convicted felon. How is this guy in any way good for the sport? I hope he gets dummied. I don't want to see his face again. RIP Bitch.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

yeah this could do a million. I think sonnen as champ will be good for the division but "good for the sport"? I don't really think the UFC is good for the sport but thats a rant for another time. Im sure you have all seen it but I only saw this today and it did make me smile.

Renzo gave him shit over that one..

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

I don't really dislike sonnen at all. He plays his bad guy role very well imo. Silva's style is just that more exciting. Idk, we shall see how many ppv he sells to determine how "good he is for the sport." It won't be close to Mayweather numbers but if they surpass 800 k ill be surprised.
For once I totally agree...as much as I really don't like Silva...I don't like Sonnen more...hope he gets his ass clocked

First world problems-

Have been so caught up in the Dana white propaganda machine that I forgot about the boxing. Just missed Klitschkos fight, Furys fight and Kell brooks fight.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

i saw the fury fight live, it was a bit boring. so many wild movements as well, they both looked pretty amateurish

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

yep but in fairness fury is stll at the start of his career, I think he has only been pro for 3 years. I really hope he does not get put in with one of the Klitschko's any time soon. That would be painful to watch

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

yeah, i couldnt help but feel that a more seasoned fighter would've finished it in the first or second round when mando (sp?) was rocked.

his management was all big mouth "we'll take on anyone blahblahblah unbeatable blahblahblah" felt like threy were tyring to big him up too much too soon.

i was impressed by chris eubanks jr though 2nd fight i saw of his, he's till undefeated, funny watching him get interviewed, sounds just like his dad

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread

Looking forward to this main event, curious to see the outcome, love to see Rich have another shot.
Looks like Sonnen is now in same boat as Rich. I call it the BabyJ situation.

Great knee to the chest:

Huge mistake cost him his chance.. Perfectly placed knee btw.
