Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
You know Bisping was slotted to fight Maia on less then 2 months notice, a completely different style of fighter. Sure Maia has take downs but he uses Judo not wrestling. He took the Sonnen fight on 11 days notice. I don't know how 'anyone who knows anything about MMA' could see that he trained his ass off for a fight he only got 11 days notice for? On other business, 143 has a huge stack (well 5) of new talent coming in, some guys to keep an eye on are: Max "Lil' Evil" Holloway: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KepU6s-hOgI" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> This kid is fighting Dustin Poirier (some consider him top 10 FW) for his 5th professional fight/UFC debut. He is probably going to lose but worth a watch this kid could be an exciting new prospect in some years to come. Stephen "Wonder boy" Thompson http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stephen_Thompson_(fighter) Check out this kids kickboxing credentials, 56-0. He is also a black belt in BJJ. On paper this kid is an animal, hope he does well. ...also how fucking stacked is 144 |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
IMO tyson is very overrated (def top 15 though). The HW division was not exactly stacked when he came on the scene. However his defence in the early days was insane, he had the head movement of a WW. Fedor, Igor and sakuraba are the greatest of all time when it comes to MMA, again this is just my opinion.

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
Tyson overrated because of lack of talent in his division or is it because he was that much better than everyone else? Anderson Silva finds himself in the same predicament right now. The guys is clearly the best fighter in the world today but there are people that say the ufc has no middleweights and there is a lack of talent in the division. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
My tapology picks, I will update these later today and they picture will change with my picks. ![]() Tyson could have been the GOAT but he beat himself in the end by not training, using recreational drugs and losing the drive to fight. The documentary 'tyson' is a fascinating look into him and I recommend anyone too watch it. Why you ignore my post Illusion? I thought that would of gotten you riled up enough to at least warrant a response. I'll post the 3 'prime time' episodes today when they are completed too. |

Re: DR's Official MMA Thread
If Diaz loses this fight my fucking head will explode, I'll fucking ustream it in the damn death video section or something. Gonna be a great fight and really the whole card should be good. Sorry to jump in but, imho, Tyson was/is one of the greatest ever, regardless of competition, he made boxers look like shit because he was that much better than them and they knew it before fight even started. No one looks good fighting off their heels with their backsides completely puckered up. Just imagine if D'amato lives at least long enough to keep Robin Givens from getting her hooks in him. Him losing D'amato was enough, then that train wreck comes along and blindsides him. |
