Heard about this on Twitter earlier today; Palhares is a fuckin savage, surprised he didn't rip the leg off and eat it last night. At the time it didn't seem like he held on excessively long - and it's only after going back and watching the video that it does seem like he let it go about 2 seconds longer than he needed to. A relatively brief flash of time normally, but an excruciatingly long moment if you're Pierce and having your knee-joint ripped apart for 2 long seconds. Seeing as how he's been reprimanded for doing it in another fight in the UFC and has a reputation for doing it in grappling competitions too - i can see why Zuffa is dropping him. You can't appear soft on unsportsmanlike conduct at a time like this; when MMA is becoming much more mainstream and is being shown on broadcast television. I'll withhold any firmer opinion till we find out whether or not Mike Pierce's leg is screwed up really bad or not. |

Harris is a fucking beast at welterweight. Remember Hendricks took a very close split-decision victory over Mike Pierce. Harris ragdolled Pierce then made him his bitch in less than 40 seconds. The ufc can't contain him so he's got to go.. Best damn heel hooker since Ken Shamrock.

Butthurts a bit about the cut. The guy is a killer. He's mike Tyson out there. You know he's got the potential to devastate his opponents at any second during a fight. This is what I want in a fighter.
